The Ontario County Industrial Development Agency (OCIDA) welcomes VAS Operations LLC as the new Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) at the Canandaigua Airport.

“We are excited about this opportunity to bring a new level of hospitality at the Canandaigua Airport. This is vital to increasing the transportation infrastructure in the Finger Lakes and boosting opportunities for growth at local area attractions and establishments from patrons landing on the runway,” said Richard Deys, president of VAS Operations LLC.

The Fixed-Base Operator is responsible for providing initial hospitality to crew and passengers flying into the airport and providing parking, fuel, and service for aircraft.

Deys, also the president of Sandmans RCD, has provided grounds keeping services to the airport for the past four years.

“This was a perfect opportunity for us. We now can expand our airport services and continue working with the OCIDA and Airport Manager Robert Mincer to help grow air traffic and amenities,” said Deys.
